As always our summers are filled with beach and zoo trips. One of our favorite trips this summer was with one of our former players and his wife; Dan and Krista. As you can tell we enjoyed burying them, we know how to be good hosts!

We buried Krista first and turned her into a rather portly mermaid. After we released Krista from her mermaid duties, Dan got buried just to see what it felt like. (both of them could actually not get out without a lot of help from us digging them out, we buried them pretty deep!) They were great sports and the boys had a ton of fun!

The New Beach Boys!

I am not sure what exactly is going on here. 1.) Maybe it is a new form of sunblock for the face or 2.) maybe he is preparing for his covert ops training and is working on his
camouflage when attacking a beach head or 3.) maybe he just tripped and did a face plant, either way he is not really bothered by it.
Hmmmmmm, salty! (I am voting for option 2.)
Unfortunately, we have found out the hard way that the whole surfer dude image is not learned but something that God puts in young boys hearts that are born
blonde, in Southern California.
(Yes, that is a hanger and apparently that was why his face was covered in sand, he was digging for hangers, the rare northern pacific species only found in Huntington Beach.)
The three amigos at their first drive-in movie.

They had a blast and it was fun for their parents too. We inflated our queen mattress, brought a couple of pillows and snacks and relaxed in the back of our truck while we watched the AMAZING
guinea pigs of G-Force and the movie Up.
A MEETING OF THE MINDS!
Which way is it to the monkeys? I thought we wanted ice cream? Oh, yeah, ice cream and then the monkeys. No wait, the ice cream is by the lions.
Ok, let's say we want to see the lions and than we will conveniently walk by the ice cream place and ask for ice cream. That is a great plan! Do you think Dad will catch on? Nah, he is clueless. Wait, do you think lions like ice cream? Hey, stay focused! Ready, break!

Noah, feeding the
lorikeets.
Kannon --- "Is there something behind me? What did you say, the toy store wrecked?? What? Should I be doing something?"
Sometimes all these activities make me so tired that I can't even finish my grilled cheese sandwich.
