CBU vs. UCLA

We had the privilege and honor to be able to play against UCLA to open up their season this year. It was great for my parents and Libby to be able to see our team compete against the fourth best team in the nation, who was coming off of their third trip to the NCAA Final Four. It was cool to play in a place that has seen 17 national championship teams and been home to probably the greatest college basketball coach, John Wooden. We definitely had jitters as a team and were also very aware of the athleticism that comes with opponents that will probably play in the NBA. We showed ourselves to be a good team even though the score was lopsided. We were able to get very good looks but we missed several simply because we rushed. We relaxed in the second half and only lost that half by 4 points. Coach Howland complimented our team and said it had been one of the best exhibitions that he had had since he came to UCLA. (not bad for an NAIA team!) We really enjoyed the experience. It definitely was something that Libby and I will not forget.

Awesome! Josh was able to watch the game live online, wish he could have been there in person. Way to go Coach Froese!
